Hi. This is my little page of Korea random spin tools. You can write English into Hangul, get a Korean name (for fun, not legal), spin what K-food to eat tonight, and spin a K-drama for your mood. More wheels down the page too. Please spin again. If you like, try the food wheel next.

11 tools on this page:

  1. Hangul Me — type English, see Hangul, then trace it
  2. Korean Name Studio — Hangul, meaning, shareable card
  3. Korean Age + What do I call you — 만나이, 세는나이, 호칭
  4. K-Food Tonight Wheel — spin what’s for dinner
  5. K-Drama Mood Spinner — pick a show for right now
  6. First K-BBQ Order — meat, wraps, banchan
  7. Survive Seoul Phrase Wheel — one traveler sentence
  8. Korean Zodiac + Today's Luck — date-seeded fortune
  9. Korean Party Game Wheel — nunchi, chosung, word train, 369 clap
  10. Hanbok Color Wheel — 2–3 hex swatches
  11. Seoul District Matcher — where to wander

What this page is

This is a personal hobby page of Korea random spin tools. You type, tap, or spin. I return a short English answer and sometimes Hangul. I am not a language school, not a restaurant, not a streaming app, and not a government form.

Friends overseas kept asking the same questions: how do I spell my name, what do we eat, what do I call this person, which neighborhood sounds fun. I got tired of typing the same answers, so I packed them into wheels and boxes on one page.

Stay as long as you want. Spin again if the first slice is boring. Nothing here is a passport, a visa, a medical age, or a receipt. Entertainment only.

How to use this page

  1. Pick a tool from the list under the hero, or scroll. Each tool has its own Spin or Convert button.
  2. Open “Stuck? open this” on a tool if you want the short How / Limit / Example for that box only.
  3. Results stay in this browser unless the tool says otherwise. There is no account and no homework.
  4. Ads may appear in one slot under the page. I do not ask you to click them. Privacy and Terms are linked in the footer.

1. Hangul Me — type English, see Hangul, then trace it

Type English. I butcher it into Hangul. Trace it if you're brave.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: type an English word in Convert. I guess Hangul with a baby phonetic map. Then trace the blocks. Quiz is 8 questions if you want.

Limit: This is not official. silent English letters get butchered. Not a linguist, not a teacher, not official spelling. Example: try "hello" or your first name. Then open Korean Name Studio if you want a full name card.

Note: a common miss is typing a whole sentence. Keep it to a name or a short word, convert, then trace. If the Hangul looks drunk, that is the map, not you. Quiz after one convert so it sticks a little.

Type something. I'll guess Hangul. Might be wrong. That's the joke.

Play Hangul Block — spell it in Hangul

Why romanization looks wrong sometimes

Hangul Me uses a baby phonetic map. Silent English letters get chewed. That is the joke and the limit. Trace the blocks after one convert if you want the shape in your hand. A whole sentence usually looks worse than a name or a short word. I am not a linguist and I am not marking your homework.

2. Korean Name Studio — Hangul, meaning, shareable card

Three fake names. Not for your passport.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: optional English name + gender/vibe, then make three cards. Hangul, romanization, a tiny meaning. Download PNG or share if you like.

Limit: This is not official. entertainment only — not an official or legal name. Surnames like Kim/Lee/Park show up more because that is how it feels on the street. Example: type Mina, pick any, click Make my Korean name. Last 3 stay in this browser.

Note: people screenshot the card and think it is paperwork. It is not. Download PNG for a username or a pet. If you want to know what to call a real person, skip the card and use the Age + 호칭 box.

Hangul spelling is not a Korean name

Hangul spelling is how your English sounds when you force it into Korean letters. Type Mina and you get a cafe-cup spelling. That is Hangul Me. A Korean name is a different toy. Name Studio hands you a surname plus a given name and a tiny meaning line, like a sticker, not a passport line. People mix them up because both show Hangul. One is your English, chewed. The other is a fake Korean-style card. Do not file the card. Do not tattoo the spelling without looking twice. I am not a teacher and I am not city hall. Spell, then spin a name if you want the other joke.

Korean Age + What do I call you

Birthday in. 만나이, 세는나이, what to call them. Toy math.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: type a birthday (year is enough, month/day if you have them). I calculate 만나이 (birthday age) and 세는나이 (the old counting age: 1 at birth, +1 every New Year). Then pick how close you are. I simulate a 호칭: 씨 / 님, or 형 · 언니 · 오빠 · 누나 · 선배 if you mark them close.

Limit: This is not official. a toy, not a legal age. Do not use this for drinking, buying anything age-gated, visas, or hospitals — use the birthday on the passport. 오빠/언니/형/누나/선배 are for people you actually know. First meeting, the cashier, your boss: stay with 씨 or 님. I am not a manners teacher.

Example: birthday 1999-03-01, not close → twenty-something 만나이 + a higher 세는나이, and “Mina-ssi” as the polite default. Mark close + older than you → it may offer 형/언니/오빠/누나/선배, with a warning not to say that at a ticket window.

Example 2: you 1999, them 1996, close, school setting. Counting age says they are a couple years up, so the box may float 형/언니 or 선배. Still a toy. If you would not say it in the hallway, do not say it here.

Example 3: work setting, not close, them older. Stay on 씨 or 님. 오빠 at a desk is a sitcom. Hit Count age + 호칭 once, read the warning, then try close vs not close without changing the years.

Your birthday

Them

Year in, then hit the button. Don't write an essay.

Two ages, one birthday, still a joke

Korea used to count age in two casual ways at the table. 만나이 goes up on your birthday. 세는나이 starts at one and jumps again at New Year, so the number looks bigger and a little unhinged. This box is toy math for that fight. Type a year, hit the button, laugh at the gap. It is not a manners class and it is not a form. If you came here to feel older for one screenshot, you are in the right booth. If you came here to be correct at a counter, close the tab and use the birthday you already know.

3. K-Food Tonight Wheel — spin what’s for dinner

Can't pick dinner? The wheel can. Filter if you want. BBQ is further down.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: pick All / Spicy / Mild / Vegetarian, hit Spin dinner. You can spin 3 times, use elimination, or paste your own list (one dish per line).

Limit: This is not official. I am not a chef. Filters are lazy tags. Your own list replaces the slices when you apply it. Example: cannot decide? Spin. First grill night? scroll to First K-BBQ Order (meat, wraps, banchan).

Note: if you hate the first slice, spin again or paste your own leftover list. Vegetarian filter is a mood tag, not a kitchen certificate. Three spins, pick the least annoying, cook that.

4. K-Drama Mood Spinner — pick a show for right now

Mood in. Title out. Watch it on your own app.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: pick a mood (Cozy, Twisty, Slow-burn, Laugh, Epic, Short & done) and spin. You get a vibe line plus an example title in text.

Limit: This is not official. text only. No posters, no video, no streaming links to watch for free. Search the vibe on your own app. Not a piracy page. Example: tired brain → Cozy. Then search that title where you already subscribe.

Note: I do not play the show here. If the title is old, search the vibe words not the exact name. Short & done is for when you have one episode of brain left.

Spin a drama. Moods: Cozy · Twisty · Slow-burn · Laugh · Epic · Short & done

5. First K-BBQ Order (meat, wraps, banchan — no drinks)

First grill. Point at this. Meat, wraps, banchan only.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: spin one thing to order or point at. Result has a one-line how-to (scissors, lettuce wrap, that kind of thing).

Limit: This is not official. meat, wraps, banchan only. I am not a waiter. First-timer helper, not a full menu. Example: spin once, point at that, then spin Survive Seoul Phrase Wheel if your mouth freezes.

Note: point at the result with a finger if talking is hard. Scissors and lettuce show up a lot because that is the table. This wheel will not order for you.

Food, BBQ, and drama are separate toys

K-Food Tonight is “what sounds edible.” First K-BBQ Order is “what to point at on a first grill night” — meat, wraps, banchan only, no drinks on that wheel. K-Drama Mood Spinner is a vibe line plus an example title in text. I do not host video, and I do not send you to a free stream. Search the title on the app you already pay for.

— halfway-ish. thanks for staying. more wheels below. —

6. Survive Seoul Phrase Wheel

One sentence. Show the Hangul if your mouth dies.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: spin one traveler sentence. Hangul + romanization + meaning. Point at the Hangul if you cannot say it.

Limit: This is not official. I am not a teacher. Tiny list. Pronunciation is amateur. Example: restaurant panic → spin. Then Seoul District Matcher if you are going somewhere after.

Note: if your mouth freezes, just show the Hangul on your phone. Romanization is the lazy kind. One sentence is enough; do not stack five spins into a speech.

7. Korean Zodiac + Today's Luck

Animal + a joke luck line. Not fate. Same joke if you come back later today.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: spin an animal (띠). Today's luck sentence is seeded by the date + animal, so it stays the same if you come back later today. 2026 is the Horse (말).

Limit: This is not official. fortunes are jokes. Not real astrology. Silly on purpose. Example: spin once, read the joke, maybe make a name in Name Studio.

Note: coming back later today gives the same luck line on purpose. That is the date seed, not fate. If you want a different joke, try tomorrow or pick another animal.

Luck sentence is seeded by today's date + the animal, so it stays the same if you come back later today.

8. Korean Party Game Wheel

Living-room games. No prizes. No lectures.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: spin a living-room game (nunchi, chosung, word train, 369 clap). Elimination mode if you do not want repeats. Reset puts the list back.

Limit: This is not official. ice-breakers I liked at student clubs. Not a full rulebook. No prizes. Example: spin, explain in one breath, play. Need snacks? K-Food wheel.

Note: 369 clap is counting with a slap on 3-6-9. Chosung is first-consonant guessing. If nobody knows the rules, spin once and make a 20-second version. Living-room only.

Party games here stay living-room dry

The party wheel on this page is nunchi, chosung, word train, 369 clap — living-room ice-breakers. No prizes. No casino talk. Adult soju-table games with a bottle on the table live on the sister site in the footer only. This page’s About keeps the dry line on purpose.

9. Hanbok Color Wheel

Colors. Pretty squares. Not a shop.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: spin a traditional-ish palette. 2–3 hex color squares and a slightly too-poetic amateur name.

Limit: This is not official. not a real hanbok shop. Colors are vibes, not fabric science. Example: spin, copy a hex if you want, or take the vibe to Seoul District Matcher.

Note: the poetic name is me being extra. Copy the hex into a notes app if you like the square. Do not order fabric from this page. There is no shop.

10. Seoul District Matcher

One neighborhood. The wheel lies sometimes.

Stuck? open this.

How: Ok, here's the move: spin a neighborhood. One-line why it matches.

Limit: This is not official. sometimes the wheel lies. I do not control the wheel. Not a tour guide, not transit advice. Example: spin once. If it sounds fun, look it up on your own map. Dinner: K-Food wheel.

Note: one neighborhood is enough. If it lands somewhere you already went, spin again. I do not know your hotel or which subway is closed.

Phrases, districts, colors, and luck are jokes with a map

Survive Seoul Phrase Wheel gives one traveler sentence — Hangul, lazy romanization, meaning. Point at the Hangul if your mouth freezes. Seoul District Matcher names one neighborhood and a one-line why; it is not transit advice. Hanbok Color Wheel is pretty hex squares, not a fabric shop. Zodiac luck is date-seeded silliness, not fate. Treat them like stickers, not guidance.

About this hobby page

Why this even exists

Korea Random Spin Tools is a personal amateur page. I am not a language teacher, chef, fortune teller, or Seoul tour guide. Romanization is the lazy kind. Fortunes are jokes. Names are for usernames, pets, or RP — Entertainment only — not an official or legal name.

This is a personal hobby site by GitHub user ewhite911. That GitHub profile is the public contact. I do not put an email on this page.

Why this page exists: friends overseas kept asking the same Korea questions (how do I spell my name, what do we eat, what do I call this person). I got tired of typing the same answers, so I made tiny wheels and a birthday box. It is a hobby. Stay and poke around.

Party games: nunchi, chosung, word train, 369 clap. Living-room friendly. Not drinking games.

The BBQ wheel is meat, wraps, and banchan only — no alcohol, no soju, no drinks.

Hangul Me is a baby phonetic map. It will butcher silent English letters. That is the joke and also the limit.

The drama spinner is text only. Search the vibe on your own streaming app. This is not a piracy page and not a streaming host. I do not host videos.
